Research projects in philosophy draw on a number of sources. You may need to locate classic philosophical works (and translations), literary works, encyclopedias, biographies, essays, peer-reviewed articles, and books. There are six major branches of philosophy:
- Metaphysics (the study of existence)
- Epistemology (the study of knowledge)
- Ethics (the study of morals and consequences)
- Politics (the study of power and government)
- Aesthetics (the study of art, beauty, and culture)
- Logic (the study of reasoning and argument)
