Argumentation and Advocacy, a print journal published by the American Forensic Association, seeks to publish the best in studies of argumentation in all its forms and from diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives. It seeks to address a broad intellectual audience interested in argumentation studies but not necessarily conversant with a specialized vocabulary. The journal follows a policy of blind peer review.

Kairos is a refereed online journal exploring the intersections of rhetoric, technology, and pedagogy. Kairos publishes "webtexts," which are texts authored specifically for publication on the World Wide Web. We seek to push boundaries in academic publishing at the same time we strive to bridge the gap between print and digital publishing cultures. We further seek to bring forward and support the voices of those too often marginalized in the academy, especially graduate students and adjunct and other part-time faculty.
A peer-reviewed journal of the Coalition of Feminist Scholars in the History of Rhetoric and Composition. The journal exists to support the Coalition’s mission as a “learned society composed of women scholars who are committed to research in the history of rhetoric and composition.”

Relevant Rhetoric is a refereed online journal created to publish pieces of academic rhetorical criticism that are of value not only to academic scholars and historians interested in persuasion, but also to the educated lay-public. Rhetoric & Public Affairs is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to the history, theory, and criticism of public discourse. Published quarterly, the journal explores the traditional arenas of rhetorical investigation including executive leadership, diplomacy, political campaigns, judicial and legislative deliberations, and public policy debate. Critical, analytical, or interpretive essays that examine particular instances of symbolic inducement in any historical period are welcome. Composition Forum is a journal of pedagogical theory in composition, seeking to explore how theory informs or is elucidated through writing instruction or practice. In other words, Composition Forum is particularly interested in work that addresses the intersections of theory and pedagogy, recognizing the important relationship between the two. While composition studies has many journals focusing on pedagogy, and quite a few that focus primarily on theory, this journal provides a unique vantage point for scholars interested in exploring how the two seemingly disparate perspectives intersect.

Xchanges is an interdisciplinary Technical Communication, Writing/Rhetoric, and Writing Across the Curriculum journal, which publishes two issues annually from its home in the Technical Communication program at New Mexico Tech. Our Winter issue each year, published in March, features the theses and research projects of upper-level undergraduate students. We receive submissions (article-length research projects or senior theses) from students from a wide array of institutions across the country. Our faculty review board, comprised of TC, Comp/Rhet, and WAC faculty from throughout the U.S., reviews these submissions on a “blind” basis. Our second issue of each year, published in November, is an international graduate student issue, the submissions to which are also subject to blind review by our board. We welcome undergraduate and graduate students in these disciplines to submit their work to Xchanges, either as traditional articles or as multi-modal “webtexts.”
Young Scholars in Writing is a refereed journal dedicated to publishing research articles written by undergraduates in a wide variety of disciplines associated with rhetoric and writing. It is guided by these central beliefs: (1) that research can and should be a crucial component of rhetorical education and (2) that undergraduates engaged in research about writing and rhetoric should have opportunities to share their work with a broader audience of students, scholars, and teachers through national publication.
