Research in women's studies

Women's studies is a highly interdisciplinary field that examines gender as a social and cultural construct. It incorporates research from history, economics, science, health, and art. Finding relevant resources for your topic may require searching in several different databases, as databases are normally organized around specific disciplines.

Research in women's studies may require you to find books, scholarly articles, critical essays and reviews, primary sources, or government documents. You may also find documentaries, films or TED talks that address current issues and trends. Encyclopedias and handbooks are a helpful resource for identifying terms, topics, and background information. Links to recommended resources are on the Resources page.
