Data Management Guide

An overview for researchers on how to collect, manage, organize, and preserve data at all stages of the research process.

Digital Curation Centre

The Digital Curation Centre (DCC) is an internationally-recognized center of expertise in digital curation with a focus on building capability and skills for research data management. The DCC provides expert advice and practical help to research organizations wanting to store, manage, protect and share digital research data.

The DCC Data Curation Lifecycle Model maps out the stages of successful data curation and preservation throughout the research process. If a research project is already underway, the researcher may use this model to move backwards and refine processes, as well as plan future activities. It may be useful in identifying gaps in current practice, and ensure that all policies and procedures are properly documented.
