What's in an Article?

The Title usually tells you the subject matter. The Author is usually a professor or someone else with credentials, which are listed. The Abstract appears on the first page, and summarizes the article. The Literature Review is an analysis of other articles on similar topics. The Hypotheses are the author's expected outcomes. The Method describes how they conducted the study. The Results are usually heavy with statistical analysis and technical writing. The Discussion is where the author summarizes the results and applies them to their hypotheses. The References are where the author got their background information.
